TAMPARULI: State Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim called on the local community here to work together to ensure that all plans are carried out. He said unity among the community is essential to achieving goals and assuring the success of every initiative implemented at the village level.
“Maintain excellence and unity in order to move forward in whatever activities that have been planned,” he said when officiating the Kaamatan Festival at Kg Guakon, here, Saturday. He believes that a united community can promote togetherness, tolerance, and cooperation while ensuring long-term well-being.
On another note, Jahid who is also Tamparuli Assemblyman, said skilled and talented young generation of Kg Guakon can be groomed into prospective future leaders.
“This is demonstrated by their accomplishments in various fields, as well as their ability to master their mother tongue,” he said. He also advised the young people to live a healthy lifestyle and avoid drugs.
“I hope Kg Guakon will continue to be an example to other villages in Tamparuli in terms of education, language, race and culture,” said Jahid, who is also KDCA Deputy President.
