Sabah on right track to progress, says Hajiji

The Chief Minister attends a Chinese New Year open house organised by DAP in Sandakan on Jan 23, 2023.

SANDAKAN: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said Sabah is now on the right track to development with the State Government having done its best with its Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan.

He said he is pleased that Sabah has an inclusive government with members from Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah.

“It is important that we all function as a united team by sharing common aspirations that are built on trust and mutual respect,” he said at a Chinese New Year open house organised by DAP, here, Monday.

“Let us unite to ensure that this administration runs smoothly.”

Hajiji said Sabah will continue to increase its revenue collection and investments, which exceeded RM6.6 billion and RM33.4 billion respectively last year, if Sabahans and the government continue to unite to focus on fulfilling the state’s development agenda.

Hajiji thanked the Chinese community for their support and cooperation in helping the State Government to develop Sabah and improve the people’s wellbeing.

On this year’s Chinese New Year, Hajiji said this Year of the Rabbit is associated with peace, prosperity and longevity.

“May this Year of the Rabbit take us forward and the people live in peace and be able to deal with the various challenges, economically and healthwise,” he said.
