The Papar MP says the tender for the RM379.64 million federal loan project is being finalised.

PAPAR: Water woes in the district especially in Kinarut will be resolved once a RM379.64 million project to increase the capacity of the Kogopon water treatment plant is completed in three years’ time.

Papar MP Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the project will increase the present water capacity of 40 million litres per day (MLD) to 80MLD by building another plant at the existing Kogopon facility.

He said the tender for the RM379.64 million federal loan project is being finalised.
Armizan, who is also Federal Special Task Minister for Sabah and Sarawak, said this to reporters after being briefed by Sabah Water Department director Baharuhom bin KK Sogon at the Kogopon plant Friday.
