Sabah cabinet reshuffled following Wetrom’s defection

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor has reshuffled the state Cabinet following the defection of Bandau assemblyman Wetrom Bahanda.

Wetrom, who joined join Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) last week, was an assistant minister in the chief minister’s department.

In a statement, Hajiji announced that finance assistant minister Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan will take over Wetrom’s role.

Nizam’s post will be taken over by Julita Majungki, the current community development and people’s wellbeing assistant minister.

Meanwhile, Hajiji also announced the appointment of Pintasan assemblyman Fairuz Renddan as the new special tasks assistant minister.
