KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Forestry Department will hold a virtual international conference titled “Heart of Borneo (HoB) Initiative: Moving Forward in the New Norm” from Nov 9 to 10.

Chief Conservator of Forest Datuk Frederick Kugan said the objectives of the conference were to get updates on the management of the HoB landscapes, its challenges, and to exchange ideas, experiences and best practices from other countries.

Apart from that, the conference also aims to recommend the way forward for HoB implementation post-Covid-19 pandemic.

“The two-day conference will see 24 presentations from key speakers, both at the international level and from around the region.
