Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s federal ministers Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali and and Datuk Ewon Benedick are confident a Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) council will help the state and Sarawak regain their rights under the agreement, according to a statement.

Sabah and Sarawak affairs minister Armizan and Entrepreneurial Development and Cooperative Minister Ewon met Sabah Law Society (SLS) President Roger Chin and Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) lawyer Nelson W. Angang to discuss issues related to MA63.

They stated during the meeting that the demand for the MA63 implementation is an important matter that the people of Sabah have been looking forward to for a long time.
“We are grateful to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for giving a high commitment in ensuring that the rights of Sabah can be restored,” they said.

The government established the MA63 Implementation Action Council which will be chaired by Anwar to discuss and resolve issues related to MA63.
