PBRS suspends three leaders

“They are suspended under Article 62 of the PBRS Constitution,” Kurup said.

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) President Tan Sri Joseph Kurup said he has suspended the membership of Bobby Lewat, who is the protem chairman of PBRS Sulaman, for contesting as Independent candidate in Tuaran. 

Apart from that, he has also suspended the membership of Datuk Jake Jikulin Nointin (liable for automatic dismissal) for contesting as Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) candidate in Keningau and Datuk Norbert Chin, who is PBRS Limbahau Division Chief, for contesting as Independent candidate in Papar. 

“They are suspended under Article 62 of the PBRS Constitution,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.

“They will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for further action,” he added.
